My reason for walking the Camino was spiritual - I wanted to get to know Christ better as a Person. The Camino offers quiet solitude, time for prayer, time to review one’s life, beautiful and memorable scenery. Another blessing of the Camino is meeting wonderful people from all over the world, some who become friends for life. I was fortunate to meet an artist from my home city, Erin Eardley. Erin’s beautiful paintings and especially the oil of my daughter (who joined me for my 80th birthday) and me will be treasured forever. It has a special place in my home and every time I look at it, I long to return to that special place along the Camino.
